DJ Taylor
DJ Taylor is a seasoned expert in the Audio and Video industry with over 50 years of experience. His journey began in the 1960s when he graduated from high school and decided to turn his passion for music into a career. He pursued his studies in Radio and TV Broadcast Media in Atlanta, GA, and quickly made a name for himself in the world of broadcasting. DJ worked as an on-air personality for several prominent AM and FM radio stations on the East Coast, within the 3rd largest broadcasting market in the United States.
Driven by a desire to expand his technical expertise, DJ furthered his education by studying Electrical Engineering at Old Dominion University. He went on to teach in a music program at Virginia Western University for over a decade, sharing his knowledge with the next generation of enthusiasts. DJ's entrepreneurial spirit led him to found Sound Approach and Home Technologies in 1972, two companies that have been central to his career in the audiophile world.
Over the years, he has built a reputation for providing expert services in the home audio, video, and security system sectors. DJ has attended nearly every Consumer Electronics Show (CES) over the past 50 years and was a founding attendee of CEDIA, demonstrating his longstanding commitment to innovation in the industry.
In addition to his online sales ventures, DJ operates a service repair shop and custom integration business, specializing in home audio, video, and security installations. His dedication to staying at the forefront of emerging technologies has allowed him to continually grow his business, all while maintaining a passion for his work. After more than five decades in the field, DJ continues to learn, innovate, and most importantly, enjoy the journey.
