The Kuzma Stabi SD Double Tonearm 2-Speed Manual Turntable is a high-precision audio component engineered for audiophiles who require exceptional performance and versatility. Designed to accommodate 12-inch tonearms, the Stabi SD version is built with the same rigid construction principles as other Kuzma turntables, but with a longer mounting distance to support larger arms. The turntable features solid brass rods that provide a robust connection between the platter, bearing, and tonearm support, ensuring minimal vibration and distortion during playback. Due to its design, the Stabi SD does not come with a lid, as it cannot cover the extended tonearm.
The turntable’s motor is housed independently in its own tower, effectively dampening motor-induced vibrations. The bearing assembly is made from highly polished, fine-grain carbon steel, with a one-point contact and a resin/textile sleeve that provides excellent damping and non-resonant properties. This setup, combined with a stable platter construction consisting of a mat on top and a rubber insert underneath, ensures a vibration-free surface for your records. The platter can also be clamped using an optional weight for even greater stability.
