The Triangle ICT7+ single stereo ceiling speaker offers full stereo sound from a single speaker and is especially useful for installations in smaller rooms. A typical room, using ceiling speakers, consists of two separate speakers, one in the ceiling on the left, providing the left channel audio, and the other one in the ceiling on the right, resulting in stereo sound, when both speakers are played together.

The Triangle ICT7+ single stereo speaker is able to receive both left and right audio channels and produce stereo sound from one speaker. The Triangle ICT7+ single stereo speaker is able to produce stereo sound because it has two tweeters whereas a typical ceiling speaker has one. Each tweeter in the Triangle single-point stereo speaker handles one channel of audio; one handles the right, while the other handles the left. The Triangle bass driver in the unit handles all of the non-directional lower frequencies for both the right and left sound. The low frequencies or bass sounds come from the Triangle's unique design - dual voice coil single driver. Only one of these is needed in a single stereo speaker. It is this Triangle design that allows you to have stereo sound from one speaker.

While having one speaker opposed to two sounds like a good idea, it is only recommended that this be done in smaller rooms. When wiring speakers, each speaker requires a separate run. With a single stereo, you would need two runs of speaker cable to feed both audio channels from the amplifier. Alternatively, you can run a “four-conductor” speaker cable, which will essentially be two runs in a single outer jacket. The recommended type of wire is an  ICE cable model CS164.
