The Transformative Engineering HDS-14A 4K Conditioning Splitter is a specialized device designed to stabilize and correct HDMI signals that may have been compromised by non-conforming HDMI devices. Many HDMI products may not present a signal with correct EDID, "handshake," or HDCP protocols, leading to intermittent or unsatisfactory display performance. The HDS-14A addresses these issues by establishing a proper "handshake" with the source device, ensuring reliable operation of connected displays.
This splitter supports advanced features such as Audio Return Channel (ARC) and Home Ethernet Connection (HEC) through Output #4. All outputs support 3D, 2K x 4K, Deep Color, xV Color, High-Speed transmissions, HDMI v2.0, 4K/60Hz/4:4:4, HDR, and HDCP2.2. It also supports all current HDMI audio formats, including Atmos, Dolby TrueHD, and DTS Master Audio. The device is powered by an included 5V power supply and features a USB port for future firmware updates. The HDS-14A detects the EDID of each connected display upon power-up and selects the best image package that can be reproduced by all displays, ensuring a clean and efficient 4-display system.
