RBH - MT-70V Outdoor 8 Ohm to 70V Transformer

The OSD Audio EW70V is a weatherproof external transformer designed to convert standard 8-ohm speakers into distributed 70-volt speaker systems for commercial and residential audio installations. Engineered for both indoor and outdoor environments, the EW70V allows installers to integrate conventional speakers into larger multi-speaker systems commonly used in restaurants, retail spaces, patios, bars, offices, and public-address applications. Its compact in-line design simplifies installation while maintaining flexibility across a wide range of speaker layouts.

Built with selectable wattage taps ranging from 2.5W to 20W, the EW70V allows users to tailor output levels for different zones and speaker locations without requiring specialized tools. The transformer’s no-tool tap selector provides quick adjustment access while sealed input and output connections help protect the system against moisture and environmental exposure. This makes the EW70V particularly useful for outdoor speaker installations where durability and weather resistance are critical.

The EW70V features a rugged ABS impact-resistant enclosure designed to withstand demanding commercial environments while maintaining long-term reliability. By enabling longer speaker cable runs with reduced power loss compared to traditional low-impedance systems, the transformer supports more efficient distributed audio deployment across large indoor and outdoor spaces. Its versatile design makes it suitable for both new commercial builds and retrofit installations where existing 8-ohm speakers need to be integrated into a 70V architecture.
