The Edition X gets a major upgrade

The HIFIMAN Edition XS expands on its predecessor’s achievements with several major upgrades. Featuring Stealth Magnet Technology and the company’s NEO Supernano Diaphragm, the Edition XS produces a wide and natural soundstage. Required to oscillate up to 20,000 times a second, most diaphragms, which are made of plastic or cardboard, can’t overcome the hurdle of their own inertia to reproduce lifelike detail. The Edition XS, on the other hand, features a diaphragm that’s less than two micrometres thick. While many open-back headphones prevent sound waves from escaping with poorly designed drivers, the Edition XS utilizes a specially-shaped magnet that allows waves to pass through without generating interference. The result is a massive reduction in wave diffraction turbulence and less distortion.
