At the core of the Hemp is Grado’s 44mm X2 dynamic driver, built around a Mylar diaphragm, copper voice coil, and rare earth magnetic system. This driver is specifically tuned for the bi-wood housing, favoring warmth, density, and a more physical sense of impact. The open-back design allows for a natural, spacious presentation, while the included F-cushions bring the driver closer to the ear for a more direct and immersive listening experience. 

The bi-wood construction blends hempwood and maple, combining natural damping with structural rigidity to shape the headphone’s tonal character. Hempwood contributes warmth and control, while maple stabilizes the driver interface for improved clarity and balance.
