The Future Automation RF-KIT is a radio-frequency remote and receiver kit designed to add wireless control to compatible Future Automation mechanisms. Unlike infrared control, RF operation does not require a direct line of sight between the handheld controller and receiver, making the RF-KIT particularly useful for hidden installations such as television lifts concealed inside cabinets, furniture, or architectural structures.
The compact RF receiver connects to the Contact Closure port on the mechanism's control board and relays commands from the handheld remote directly to the mechanism. An integrated extension port allows additional contact closure inputs to remain connected, preserving compatibility with other control systems. The RF controller works in synchronization with the mechanism's contact closure commands, providing standard IN, OUT, and STOP functions along with additional CC4 and CC5 commands when supported by the specific mechanism.
Designed for straightforward system integration, the RF-KIT includes a pairing function for learning a controller and an LED indicator that confirms button activation. Its compact receiver measures approximately 4 5/16" x 2 3/16" x 1 9/16" (110 x 56 x 39mm), allowing it to be installed discreetly near the mechanism control system. Future Automation lists the RF-KIT for indoor and outdoor applications as well as marine and non-marine installations, making it a flexible control accessory for a wide range of automated AV systems.
