Future Automation - PDR-RES - In-Ceiling Residential Projector Drop
The PDR-RES Projector Drop is Future Automation's latest-generation projector lift mechanism, designed specifically for residential home cinema installations. Its universal projector mounting system and adjustable drop distance provide the flexibility needed for a wide range of projector models, ceiling heights, and room layouts. Motorized operation allows the projector to remain completely concealed when not in use, then lower smoothly into the correct viewing position when your theater system is activated.
Designed with residential integration in mind, the PDR-RES features a pre-installed MDF framework with a Plaster In Edge for a clean, nearly seamless ceiling finish. This design eliminates the visible on-ceiling flange found with many traditional projector lifts, leaving only a narrow 3mm (1/8") shadow gap around the lid when closed. The framework can be installed during the first-fix stage, allowing the ceiling to be finished before the mechanism itself is fitted.
Spring-loaded locks allow the projector mechanism to click securely into the pre-installed framework at a later stage, helping simplify installation and future servicing. Carefully positioned cable routing and an integrated cable management system keep wiring organized as the mechanism moves, while RS232, contact closure, and IR control options make it easy to integrate the PDR-RES with your home automation or AV control system. The combination of concealed installation, adjustable positioning, universal mounting, and installer-friendly construction makes the PDR-RES well suited for dedicated theaters and multipurpose media rooms.
