Future Automation - CHR - Motorized TV Ceiling Hinge
The Future Automation CHR is a motorized TV ceiling hinge designed for custom installations. Installed within the ceiling cavity, the mechanism hinges the screen down into the viewing position while maintaining a clean architectural appearance when closed. Its integrated Plaster In Edge allows the surrounding ceiling finish to meet the mechanism neatly, helping avoid the exposed flange appearance common with conventional ceiling-mounted systems.
Designed with installer efficiency in mind, the CHR is supplied as a complete assembled mechanism to reduce installation complexity and potential setup errors. Self-adjusting limit switches simplify closed-position setup, while an internal access hatch provides access to the control system. Integration with automated AV systems is supported through infrared, contact closure, and RS232 control options.
The CHR also incorporates both mechanical and electrical recovery provisions so the mechanism can still be safely accessed in the event of a control-system or power-related issue. For projects requiring additional movement, Future Automation offers related CHR configurations with swivel, telescoping, or combined swivel-and-telescoping functionality, making the platform adaptable to a wide range of residential and commercial AV installations.
