The Eversolo DMP-A8 Gen 2 is a high-performance network music streamer designed to bring digital playback, conversion, source control, and preamplifier functions together in one refined component. Its larger 8.6-inch LCD touchscreen provides direct access to music libraries, streaming services, inputs, outputs, playback controls, and system settings. The DMP-A8 Gen 2 can play high-resolution files from internal storage, USB devices, network shares, and online services while also operating as a dedicated digital transport for an external DAC.
An AKM AK4191EQ digital audio processor and flagship AK4499EXEQ DAC form the foundation of the conversion stage, while Eversolo’s AuralEngine audio processor supports native DSD512 and PCM files through 32-bit/768kHz. Dual ultra-low phase-noise clocks help maintain precise digital timing, while the fully balanced analog preamplifier provides XLR and RCA inputs and outputs. Separate low-noise linear and digital power sections help isolate sensitive circuitry and preserve dynamics, channel separation, and low-level detail.
The DMP-A8 Gen 2 adds expanded connectivity and network capability for integration with power amplifiers, active speakers, external DACs, televisions, computers, mobile devices, and network storage. Balanced XLR and RCA outputs are complemented by USB, IIS, coaxial, optical, AES/EBU, HDMI ARC/eARC, Bluetooth 5.4, Gigabit Ethernet, dual-band Wi-Fi 6, and optional SFP fiber-network support. Compatibility with Spotify Connect Lossless, TIDAL Connect, Qobuz Connect, DLNA, Network Audio Adapter, major streaming services, app control, remote operation, and an upgraded M.2 NVMe SSD slot supporting drives up to 8TB make the DMP-A8 Gen 2 a flexible control center for a modern two-channel audio system.
