Bryston - Bi-200 - 200W Analog Dual-Mono Integrated Amplifier
The Bryston Bi-200 is a premium dual-mono integrated amplifier that combines technologies from the BP-19 analog preamplifier and 3B power amplifier in one chassis. It delivers 200 watts per channel into 8 Ohms and 300 watts per channel into 4 Ohms, providing the output and current capability needed to drive a broad selection of high-performance loudspeakers. Combining both sections also eliminates the additional space and interconnect cables required by separate preamplifier and power-amplifier components.
Its fully balanced discrete preamplifier architecture uses tightly matched components and a compact signal path to reduce noise, distortion and common-mode interference. Two pairs of balanced XLR inputs and four pairs of RCA inputs accommodate as many as six analog sources. Balanced and unbalanced preamplifier outputs can be configured for fixed or variable operation, while an independently buffered headphone output supports private listening and automatically mutes the speaker and preamplifier outputs when headphones are connected.
The Bi-200 is available with optional moving-magnet or moving-coil phono circuitry, including 20dB and 26dB moving-coil transformer choices. A white OLED display, channel-balance control, BR-4 remote compatibility and Ethernet, USB, RS-232 and trigger connections support convenient operation and system integration. Passive convection cooling eliminates fan noise, while the Soft-Start system manages startup current for reliable operation in demanding stereo installations.
