Bryston -BDA-3 - High-Resolution Digital-to-Analog Converter
The Bryston BDA-3 is a high-performance digital-to-analog converter engineered to reproduce high-resolution music with exceptional clarity, timing, and accuracy. Its advanced decoding architecture supports native PCM playback up to 384kHz/32-bit and DSD256, allowing it to accommodate a wide range of digital music sources and high-resolution audio libraries.
Six digital inputs include two asynchronous USB connections, AES/EBU, coaxial S/PDIF through RCA and BNC, and Toslink optical. Incoming PCM signals are processed by Bryston’s custom reclocking circuitry, which replaces the embedded clock with a precise internal master clock to minimize jitter. Selectable upsampling is also available for compatible S/PDIF signals, while PCM and DSD follow dedicated signal paths to preserve their native formats.
A balanced pair of premium DACs feeds Bryston’s proprietary fully discrete Class A analog output stage, delivering balanced XLR and single-ended RCA connections. Independent power supplies for the analog and digital sections help minimize interference and distortion, while galvanically isolated electrical inputs protect the audio signal from ground noise. Hand-assembled in Canada, the BDA-3 combines premium construction with flexible system-control options for dedicated listening rooms and integrated AV installations.
