The Bryston BD-325 2.0 is a high-output Class D power amplifier designed to combine substantial loudspeaker-driving capability with the efficiency and reduced heat generation of a modern switching amplifier. Each installed channel delivers 325 watts RMS into 8 Ohms and 650 watts into 4 Ohms, while the common chassis can accommodate from one to six independent Class D amplifier modules. This flexible architecture makes the BD-325 2.0 suitable for high-performance stereo systems, multichannel installations, active loudspeaker systems, and custom audio applications.

Rather than relying on the compact switching power supplies commonly associated with Class D designs, Bryston pairs its proprietary amplifier modules with a substantial linear power supply, large toroidal transformer, and 144,000µF of storage capacitance. Bryston developed this combination to preserve dynamic headroom and minimize compression when music or movie soundtracks demand sudden bursts of power. The BD-325 can provide 1,500 watts of continuous RMS output across its installed channels and as much as 4,500 watts for brief 100ms dynamic peaks.

Balanced XLR and single-ended RCA inputs provide compatibility with a broad range of preamplifiers and processors, while a 12V trigger supports automated system operation. The BD-325 2.0 offers a 29dB voltage gain, 2V input sensitivity, 105dB signal-to-noise ratio, and frequency response extending from 1Hz to 50kHz at -3dB into 6 Ohms. Consumer and professional rack-mount faceplates are available with or without handles, allowing the Canadian-built amplifier to integrate cleanly into both dedicated listening systems and custom installations.
