The Bryston 4B Cubed is a high-current dual-mono stereo power amplifier developed to deliver substantial output, precise loudspeaker control, and transparent musical reproduction. As the sixth generation of Bryston’s long-running 4B platform, it provides 300 watts per channel into 8 Ohms and up to 500 watts per channel into 4 Ohms. Its output capability makes it suitable for a broad range of demanding floorstanding, bookshelf, and custom-installed loudspeakers.
Each channel operates with its own independent power supply and transformer, helping preserve stereo separation while reducing interaction between the left and right audio channels. Bryston’s patented Salomie input circuit is designed to lower noise and distortion ahead of the amplification stage, while selectable 23dB and 29dB gain settings simplify matching with different preamplifiers and source components. Balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA inputs provide flexible integration into both professional and residential audio systems.
The 4B Cubed uses passive convection cooling, eliminating the mechanical noise and maintenance associated with cooling fans. A microprocessor-controlled SoftStart sequence manages startup current, while standby consumption remains below 500mW and a DC trigger connection supports automated power control. Its machined aluminum enclosure is available with silver or black faceplates, and the optional Pro configuration adds rack mounting and independent rear-panel channel trim controls.
