The AVM Inspiration CS 2.3 is a compact all-in-one streaming CD receiver designed to combine high-performance amplification, digital playback, physical media, and analog connectivity in a single elegant component. Its integrated power amplifier delivers 2 x 140 watts into 4 Ohms, providing ample output for high-quality bookshelf speakers and many medium-sized floorstanding designs. A slot-in CD mechanism preserves traditional disc playback while AVM's X-STREAM Engine brings the CS 2.3 firmly into modern network audio systems.
High-resolution digital playback is handled by an ESS 9038 Q2M DAC supporting PCM resolutions up to 32-bit/384kHz and DSD up to DSD256. Streaming options include Apple AirPlay 2, Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect MAX, Qobuz, UPnP, Web Radio, and Roon Ready operation, while Bluetooth 5.0 provides an additional wireless connection option. HDMI ARC allows the CS 2.3 to serve as the audio centerpiece for a television-based system, and multiple digital inputs plus USB connectivity expand its flexibility with additional sources.
Analog listeners are equally well accommodated with a dedicated phono stage supporting both MM and MC cartridges, along with preamp, line-level, and headphone outputs for flexible system integration. The RC X App provides contemporary control of streaming and playback functions, while Multiroom and Party Sync capabilities support compatible AVM systems throughout the home. The CS 2.3 is available in black or silver aluminum, the distinctive CELLINI version with a chrome front panel, and Bronze Edition configurations, with each unit handcrafted at AVM's Malsch facility in Germany.
