Advance Paris X-A220EVO is a monophonic power amplifier designed for systems that need high current delivery, precise speaker control, and the authority of dedicated amplifier channels. It delivers 1 x 220W RMS at 8ohms and 1 x 350W RMS at 4ohms, making it well suited for demanding loudspeakers when used as a matched pair. Its steel chassis, methacrylate front panel, and prominent VU meter give the amplifier a classic Advance Paris look while supporting a serious internal layout.
Inside, the X-A220EVO uses a 700VA toroidal transformer, four 10,000µF / 80V capacitors, and a triple push-pull output stage built around NJW0281G and NJW0302G complementary power transistors. The compartmentalized internal design separates functional sections to reduce interference between circuits. Its large transistor heatsink supports stable operation, while the selectable Hi-Bias mode allows the amplifier to operate in Class A on the first watts before moving into Class AB when more output is required.
For use with a dedicated preamplifier, the X-A220EVO includes both balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA inputs, with a rear-panel selector for the preferred connection type. Pairing two X-A220EVO amplifiers with a stereo preamp such as the Advance Paris X-P700 creates a powerful separates-based hi-fi system with strong dynamics and clean channel separation. With wide 10Hz-80kHz frequency response, low distortion, toroidal power, and mono amplifier construction, the Advance Paris X-A220EVO is built for listeners who want a more substantial upgrade path than a conventional stereo power amplifier.
