Advance Paris - WTX-Tubes - Bluetooth HD Stream Receiver
Advance Paris WTX-Tubes is a high-definition Bluetooth receiver designed to bring wireless playback into a serious hi-fi system while preserving a warmer, more analog-style presentation. Instead of functioning like a basic Bluetooth adapter, it uses a Class A tube output stage to shape the analog signal after digital conversion. This makes it a strong option for listeners who want the convenience of Bluetooth without giving up the musical character expected from a dedicated audio component.
Inside the WTX-Tubes, Advance Paris combines two Raytheon 5703W subminiature tubes with a Wolfson WM8740 24-bit/192kHz DAC and tri-core processing. The Bluetooth section supports aptX, aptX HD, AAC, and SBC, giving compatible devices a cleaner wireless path into the system. The manual notes that the tubes are mounted with insulating supports to reduce microphonic effects and improve cooling, while the Class A tube stage is intended to support a more musical and reliable output design.
For system connection, the WTX-Tubes includes stereo RCA analog output, optical digital output, and coaxial digital output. This allows it to connect directly to an integrated amplifier or preamplifier, or to feed an external DAC through its digital outputs. With Bluetooth 5.0 support, HD Detect indication, a compact chassis, and a 12V power supply, the Advance Paris WTX-Tubes gives existing audio systems a clean way to add wireless playback with tube-driven analog character.
