SoundTube SM82-EZ-II Surface Mount Speaker
The SM82-EZ-II is an economical solution for integrators who need a surface-mount indoor or outdoor speaker option for music and paging applications. SM82-EZ-II incorporates a dedicated 8-inch polypropylene woofer and an offset 1-inch soft dome tweeter with waveguide to deliver superb intelligibility for background to foreground music and messaging (up to 106.0 dB max. SPL).
SoundTube's proprietary BroadBeam Ring™ technology in all models ensures high intelligibility, even well off-axis. The SM82-EZ-II uses a 64-watt low-insertion loss transformer and a six-position tap switch with a transformer bypass position.
Enclosures for the SM52-EZ are ported, with port plugs included for outdoor use; grills and mounting hardware are powder coated aluminum. Mounting for the SM82-EZ-II includes a proprietary, tool-free, low-profile Stealth™ bracket with a direct drive cam-wedge for stable and precise aiming up to 90 in one direction. Inputs are made via ceramic terminal strips, making these speakers suitable for European voice evacuation systems. A safety cable, wall mount bracket, conduit connector and port hole plug are all included.
